WORST VENUE EVER!!!
The complete debacle that was the Alex Lucero/EWF concert at Lakewood Amphitheater on August 24 in Atlanta left us utterly disappointed. Despite arriving 2-1/2 hours early, we spent over 4hrs waiting in line to enter the venue. The lack of police presence to manage the traffic caused us to miss EWF and the entire concert. We encountered a chaotic scene upon finally entering with minimal parking options available. The overwhelmed and frustrated staff had us aimlessly searching for parking within the venue. The disorganized and unprepared nature of the event was appalling. The absence of police support for the large number of attendees was unacceptable. A portion of blame falls on those responsible for selecting the venues. The lack of readiness for such renowned music icons was a glaring oversight, especially considering the ticket sales. It was a disastrous situation from start to finish, despite purchasing multiple tickets and amenities. This experience has left us with nothing but a headache and disillusionment. We urge the organizers to address these issues seriously, as many concert-goers likely shared our frustrations on August 24th.
